Uruguay, un país chiquito en tamaño que esconde una gente generosa y pacífica, unas riquezas desconocidas que merecen una larga visita. Entre los dos « gigantes » Brasil y Argentina, Uruguay demoró bastante para identificar su identidad y sus atractivos, y valorizarlos en el mercado turístico mundial. Hoy en día, el turismo balneario está bien desarrollado. Pero Uruguay es mucho más que sus bellas playas o que la Colonia del Sacramento reconocida internacionalmente como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Sus rincones del interior, sus sierras serenas, su cultura gaucha, su calidad de vida, entre otros. Particularmente, fue asombrado por la belleza natural del departamento de Rocha:

Visiting Nicaragua Like a Slothful Tourist!

In Leon, beautiful colonial city of Nicaragua, I’ve met the « El Perezoso: Agencia de turismo responsable » (The Sloth: Responsible Tourism Agency). Since the beginning, I liked the name that was linked for me to the idea of slow tourism, like « The Sloth » do to visit in the night trees. An interesting newly-opened tourism business in Nicaragua that I wanted to introduce to you!

The Sloth is developing a new way of discovering Nicaragua by experiencing the nature and traditions in a sustainable way. They provide experiential tours that include activities in direct contact with local communities and the natural heritage of Nicaragua. In return, participation of local communities in tourist packages will improve their living conditions by creating new incomes or strengthen them.
